About Us at Toys Miniature Horse Ranch and Training Center Toys Miniatures was established in 1990, when we purchased our first miniature, named Smokey, from a local breeder. Four years later, in 1994, we purchased two weanling miniatures, one colt and one filly, from Jerry Flaby in Rochester, Minnesota. We were convinced the tiny colt, 3DS Toy Warrior, was going to be our future stallion, so we named our farm Toys Miniatures. As time went on, we realized Toy Warrior was not maturing to be the stallion we had hoped for. So he was soon sold, but the name Toys Miniatures would forever stay. We began exhibiting our miniatures at local shows in 1995, not really knowing what we were in for, but eager to learn. Through observation and seeking the advice of a professional trainer, over the course of several years, we learned what we needed to do to improve our showing, conditioning, feeding, and breeding program. We hand selected miniatures from various breeders across the Midwest, compiled the knowledge we had learned, and decided to get serious about our new family business. In 2003, after attending both Nationals several times and continuously winning top honors in amateur and open halter classes, we decided to open a professional training center. After just one year, we transformed two of our client's horses into AMHA and AMHR National and World Champions and our other client's horses into local Supreme Halter Champions, Grand and Reserve Champions, National All Stars, National Top Ten halter horses, and National Honor Roll horses. We look after all of our horses with utmost care. All horses receive regular vaccinations, veterinary care, professional hoof care, anthelmintics, grooming, and message therapy when necessary. We do what needs to be done with each horse everyday, and that consistency is what makes our horses the champions they are. Our success is a direct result of our dedication, honesty, integrity, and tons and tons of hard work. We look forward to helping you purchase a beautiful miniature show horse, or bring to life a potential champion hiding in your barn.
