Miniature Horses

Hi. My name is Marie Pagenkopf. I own a 400-cow Dairy Farm with my husband, Jeff, and children, Kayla and Brady, in central Wisconsin.I've always had riding horses. I first learned about Miniature Horses in a newspaper article featuring Mary Hager of Alma, Wisconsin. I contacted her about them and we purchased our first Miniature Horses in 1988. Our first intention with the Miniature Horses was to have them just as pets, therefore we bought two geldings. They were wonderful pets for my daughter as well as a great introduction to the Miniature Horse breed. I fell in love with them! We purchased a bred mare a year later. We bought a stallion, and today we have 22 of them.
Through the years, we have gotten more and more involved in the many activities that you can do with them. Over the last few years we have started showing them in many halter and performance classes. We have also gotten involved in driving them in local parades.
