Welcome to Outlaw Miniatures and Shetlands! We are dedicated to raising Miniature Horses and Shetland Ponies that will not only stand out in the show ring but that will excel in the performance arena as well, and then pass those qualities on to their offspring.
We have been breeding miniature horses for over 20 years and enjoying Shetland Ponies since 1993. We have been competing in the show ring since 1989 and after attending our first AMHR National Show in 1994, our desire to be competitive and stay competitive in today's show ring was heightened and we have been concentrating on continually improving our breeding program ever since.
We admire the heritage that is behind both the Miniature Horse and the Shetland Pony. We knew after talking to Dale Lutke, D&S Stables, at the 1999 AMHR National Show, that we wanted to incorporate the bloodlines that created that heritage into our breeding program. We are confident that this venture will take us into the 20th century of the Miniature Horse and Shetland Pony. It has already introduced us to many new wonderful friends that share a common bond - the love of a Miniature Horse and a Shetland Pony and the desire to keep the heritage of our horses/ponies alive as well as breed an animal that is pleasing to the eye with correct conformation and movement.
