About Us at dk Designs & Photography

dk Designs and Photography is a husband/wife team located in the heart of the Nebraska Sandhills. Our background is agriculture and we have a natural love and enjoyment of horses, animals, and family. Ray grew up in a large family on a small farm while Darcia grew up with two older sisters on a small ranch. We have both ridden and owned horses our entire life and that passion started our own venture of raising Miniature Horses and Shetland Ponies, which we are still active with today. We are the parents of four wonderful, incredibly talented children and we have had the pleasure of supporting, watching, and photographing them through many events over the years – sporting events, rodeo, drill team, horse shows, 4-H, and fun memorable moments. It is through these experiences that we bring our creativity and ability to capture the moment for you.

Our lifestyle has provided us many opportunities to work together so working together as a team in the photography business also is natural for us. It is our desire to enrich your special moment by capturing the emotion, grace, and uniqueness of each person or animal that we photograph.
