The Farmer's Daughters Training Center

Due to school and family considerations, we will be taking a hiatus from showing outside horses for the 2006 season. We have had the awesome opportunity to show some wonderful horses for some very special friends in the past 4 years. Don't worry, we will be back in the future!!

The seed for the Farmer's Daughters Training Center was started in the fall of 2001. After showing competitively for 5 years and achieving more success than we had ever imagined, it was just the next logical step. We have never been sorry! My philosophy in training has always been to keep the horses mind and spirit as healthy as the body. All show horses in our care receive daily grooming, daily turnout ( weather permitting) and at least one full body massage a month. (I am a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist) There is always some "down time" to be a horse.

Grand Rapids Show, August 1996 This was the first show Megan and I went to alone. Megan was the groomer and got the horses ready and made sure they were at the gate for me. She was only 10 years old at the time, but I knew she could do it. We showed 3 horses and came home with 8 Grand Championships, 28 trophies and 30 ribbons! It was then that we decided we would make a good team and it's been that way ever since. With the great help of our "boys", Mike and Montana, we have had a lot of success and tons of fun.

We are only 10 minutes away from a full service equine hospital staffed with one of the most thorough and innovative equine veterinarians in the area. You can rest assured your horse will receive the best in medical care if it is needed. You are very welcome to show your horse in Amateur classes at any of the shows we attend, and Megan is also available to show your horse in Youth classes. In addition to being my right hand assistant and groom, she is a very capable showperson and has won more than her share of National titles. Please feel free to contact us about openings in our 2003 show string and to get a price list! Our prices are very competitive and we do all we can to keep things affordable for you. We will work hard to make the show experience a fun and rewarding one for you and your horse! Consider us for that potential National Champion in your barn!!
