About
the
Iowa Miniature Horse Club

The Iowa Miniature Horse Club was started with 25 members and basic bylaws in 1986. In 1997, there were 100 members. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in miniature horses.

The club newsletter, Short Snorts, is published bi-monthly and sent to all club members. In it, members can find information of club news, upcoming events, and ads.

Club meetings are held 4 times a year. Club activities have included picnics, white elephant sales, and holiday celebrations. The club has been active at the Iowa Horse Fair in Des Moines, promoting the Miniature Horses.

The club sponsors the hi-point awards for those who show. It also has had several clinics and guest speakers.
