Spring/Summer 2008

We have always dreamed of a show barn and 2008 saw that dream transpire! During the early spring and summer months Tracy was kept very busy feeding men and keeping things going as construction underwent on our new show barn facility and the renovations to the outside of our old barn. It was so exciting to see each little change and addition each day. Slowly we saw the dream transform before our eyes!

Although this project will be a work in progress for awhile on the inside, plans are to slowly finish off the inside over the winter months and next couple years on our own. Our old facility which is attached to the new barn will host a foaling barn where we can foal up to 14 mares at a time and house them with their babies. There is a new area for moms and babies to run behind the barn...although new fencing is on the list of wants! Plans for the future are to add runs not only for each show horse but for each mom and baby so they can go in and out of the barn.

Part of the old barn and the new barn will be the new home for our show string with about 14 stalls, a wash rack and clipping area. The new facility also will have an office where we can sit and visit with company and be able to see into the small working arena (as the kids work show horses, ha) and also see into the show barn as we sit and have coffee. A small upstairs with railing will be added for storage and play/tv area for of course our 4 kids. And possibly a bed for mom when she is watching mares foal!!!! We are hoping to lay cobblestone in the new barn on the outside of stalls and the aisle. Tracy is quite particular on how she wants this show barn finished...so Korey said it could take awhile!!! And yes, will be a work in progress for sure!!

Still a few finishing touches for the outside..like alot of landscaping and new corrals...but that will come. Oh..and the big "Country Lane" Logo Sign has been ordered for over our Cedar door as you walk into the small working arena. All these little touches really make this new barn feel more and more like home.

We want to thank our friends Richard and Tanya Unrau for helping us with the lumber and making this dream come true for us!

Stop by and check up on our progress!

October 2008

2nd Successful Overseas Quarantine on our own farm! Countrylanes Destinys Sweet Surrender and Countrylanes Ima Doc Holiday land overseas in Belguim!

This was our second attempt of quarantining for overseas shipping on our own property! Last year two of our weanling fillies arrived healthy in Austria. And, it was another successful venture!

We have learned so much by doing the quarantine process ourself. We have had some bad experiences with quarantining elsewhere, especially with the younger horses. Going through the quarantine process on our own farm, we are able to instead watch the horses daily and know they are getting the utmost care and proper feed for such a big venture! There is no questioning whetcher or not these horses arrive in healthy condition when they land overeas and that is such a good feeling when they leave here. We know they arrive in good condition!

So, the process was once again successful, Surrender and Doc arrived safely in Belguim with our new special friend Eva safe and sound on October 11th, 2008! Photos to come soon of our two little sweethearts at their new home!

June 2009

Our stunning colt, Countrylanes Adonis Magic (sired by our Magic Man Son, Aloha Acres I O It 2 Magic and out of our Roan Ranger granddaughter, Little Kings Starlight Sunrise) arrives in France safe and sound! Here is he is pictured just out of quarantine, NO CONDITIONING, NO SHOW DIET AND NO TRAINING yet! And standing at just 28" as a yearling! Thanks to Coralie for entrusting in our program once again! We can't wait to hear what he does on the show circuit!!!!

It is the end of June and what a busy month it has been! Company from Montana for three days! Thanks to Lisa, Karen, Frank and our longtime friend Marian for making the trip and spending time with us!

Two shows under our belt and ALL ten horses on our show string have already taken home numerous Grands and Reserves! What a start to the show season! We are very close to finishing off aafew Hall of Fames this year also, and plan to head to the U.S. to finish them off! BUT, congrats to our Senior Mare, McCarthy's Yankee Seranade, for finishing off her Hall of Fame in her first show!

Fall 2009

Congrats to the Country Lane Kids for being named to the 2009 AMHR National High Point Team! Also to our little Miss Montana for her 7& under high point honor! We are SO proud of you all!

Winter 2010

We want to send congratulations out to Lisa and Al Barton in Montana and their Broker daughter, "Countrylanes IMA 1 Top Model". Mo will be going into training this spring with Lori Guglielmo from Heart L Ranch and Training Centre in Washington. We are so excited to hear how our special girl will do throughout the season! And if all goes well, Mo will complete our Get of Sire for Rivers Edge BTU Love Broker at the 2010 Nationals, AS WELL be a part of our Produce of Dam for RB Mahgony! We are pretty thrilled! Thanks Lisa and Al for believing in our program!

Watch for some very exciting news coming to our ASPC/AMHR herd this spring!
